Tumbling Program

Covid Rules

Parents are asked to wait in their car with their dancer/gymnast until 2 min. prior to class start time.

 Children will enter the building with their parent(s), and line up at the door STRAIGHT down the hall from the Willis Road entrance. When class is finished the dancers’ parent must pick up their child INSIDE the building.  The children will exit at the door that is to the left of the entrance, down the hall.  Please exit immediately!

Child will have temperature taken upon entrance to Gym.

Any individual having the following symptoms (Parents/Guardians/Students/Siblings) are strictly prohibited from entering the building if the following symptoms are being experienced.

  •         Cough
  •          Runny Nose
  •          Temperature
  •          Fever

(If your child has allergies the instructor needs a note signed by a Doctor stating that their symptoms are allergies not COVID.

Tumbling age 4-6 Level One (Beginning Tumbling)

Students will learn appropriate stretching and flexibility techniques and engage in strength training exercises to support beginning tumbling skills. 

Skills include somersaults, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheel, round-offs, bridge, backbend, walkovers, and basic jumps. 

Instructor: Miss Allie (Fine Arts Academy of Dance)

Day/Time: Tuesday, 4:30pm-5:15pm

Location: Brick Gym

Dates: April 6,13,20,27 May 4,11,18,25

Attire: Leotard, bike shorts or footless tights

 

Tumble/Cheer age 4-6

Students will learn appropriate stretching and flexibility techniques and engage in strength training exercises to support beginning tumbling skills.  Skills include somersaults, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheel, round-offs, bridge, backbend, walkovers, and basic jumps.  This class will focus on additional skills needed for cheerleading.

Instructor: Miss Allie (Fine Arts Academy of Dance)

Day/Time: Tuesday, 5:15pm-6:00pm

Location: Brick Gym

Dates: April 6,13,20,27 May 4,11,18,25

Attire: Leotard, bike shorts or footless tights

 

Tumbling age 7-12

Students will learn appropriate stretching and flexibility techniques and engage in strength training exercises to support beginning tumbling skills. 

Skills include somersaults, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheel, round-offs, bridge, backbend, walkovers, and basic jumps,  When ready they will work on Front Walkover, Back walk over sequence, Splits, Back Handspring, Jump Sequences 

Instructor: Miss Allie (Fine Arts Academy of Dance)

Day/Time: Tuesday, 6:00pm-6:45pm

Location: Brick Gym

Dates: April 6,13,20,27 May 4,11,18,25

Attire: Leotard, bike shorts or footless tights

Students will learn appropriate stretching and flexibility techniques and engage in strength training exercises to support beginning tumbling skills. 

Skills include somersaults, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheel, round-offs, bridge, backbend, walkovers, and basic jumps. When ready they will work on Front Walkover, Back walkover sequence, Splits, Back Handspring, Jump Sequences
